On November 23, 2024, our Maritime Security Liaison Officer (MSLO) participated in a comprehensive safety drill aboard a client vessel at Escravos Anchorage. Conducted from 1500hrs to 1630hrs, the exercise underscored Agwe Global Limited’s unwavering dedication to safety, compliance, and operational readiness at sea.


Key Activities Conducted:


1.⁠ ⁠Abandon Ship Drill: Testing crew preparedness for emergency evacuation scenarios.


2.⁠ ⁠Pollution Response Drill: Simulated oil spill containment using advanced containment equipment.


3.⁠ ⁠Firefighting Drill: Coordinated responses to a simulated engine room fire, ensuring swift and effective action.


4.⁠ ⁠Lifeboat Operations: Halfway lowering and hoisting of the port-side lifeboat, with detailed inspections to ensure operational readiness.


Our MSLO worked seamlessly with the vessel’s crew and armed guards, demonstrating exceptional coordination and strict adherence to safety protocols. The drill highlighted Agwe Global's expertise in maritime risk solutions, reinforcing the vessel’s emergency preparedness. Observations praised effective communication, with minor areas noted for timing improvements.
