Edodo-Emore said the 11th International Maritime Business-to-Business Conference and Exhibition would hold at Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, under the theme “From Policy to Practice Powering Maritime Excellence”.
The Nigerian Navy has uncovered a large dugout reservoir containing approximately 10,000 litres of substance suspected to be crude oil in the Oteghele general area of Delta.
The discovery was contained in a statement issued by the Director of Naval Information, Capt. Abiodun Folorunsho, and made available to journalists on Friday in Abuja.
According to Folorunsho, the discovery was made on Wednesday by personnel of NNS DELTA during an anti-crude oil theft operation conducted within its Area of Operations.
He said the operation followed credible intelligence received by the Navy regarding suspected illicit petroleum activities being carried out in the area.

No fewer than 13 stowaways have been arrested by the Nigerian Navy and handed over to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in four separate operations between March and June 2026, an investigation by Shipping Position Daily has revealed.
Checks by our correspondent show that the arrests, carried out by personnel of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Beecroft along the Lagos coastline, involved suspects who concealed themselves in rudder compartments and other hidden sections of outbound vessels heading for Europe, India and other foreign destinations.
The Nigerian Navy has foiled attempt to reactivate an illegal refining site in Rivers, recovering about 350 litres of illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO).
The Director of Naval Information, Capt. Abiodun Folorunsho, disclosed this in an operational report on Tuesday.
Folorunsho said the operation was conducted on Sunday by the Nigerian Navy Ship SOROH in the Okolomade general area of Abua/Odual Local Government Area.
He said the operation followed credible intelligence on plans to revive illegal refining activities in the area.
The Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Lugard has intercepted a wooden boat conveying 71 kilogrammes of suspected cannabis along the River Niger in Kogi and arrested three persons in connection with the consignment.
Cdr. Christian Ottah, Acting Executive Officer of NNS Lugard, disclosed this on Wednesday while handing over the suspects to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Lokoja.
Ottah, represented by the Commander of NNS Lugard, Cdr. Adesola Ojo, said the boat was intercepted on Sept. 8 following credible intelligence.
